Scope and application of the Terms
These Terms govern booking and the provision of the operator's massage services, including bookings made through the Jozef Masáže BA booking system, in person, by phone, by email or through another currently used booking channel.
The client can review the Terms before submitting an electronic booking. If confirmation of agreement with the Terms is required, the electronic request cannot be submitted without it.
If any provision of these Terms differs from mandatory consumer law, the applicable legal provision takes precedence.
Services provided
The operator mainly provides classic, sports and relaxation massages and other services according to the current offer. The current service name, duration and price are shown on the website or in the booking system.
By agreement with the client, the massage may be appropriately adapted to current needs, comfort and safety. Massage services are not a medical examination, diagnosis or healthcare and do not replace consultation with a doctor.
Booking an appointment
- The client selects a service, massage therapist, available date and time, and completes the required information.
- Submitting the form constitutes a booking request. An automatic acknowledgement of the request is not yet confirmation of the appointment.
- The booking is confirmed only after confirmation by the operator; the client receives a confirmation message, usually by email.
- The operator may reject the request or propose another appointment for capacity, operational, safety or other justified reasons.
- The client is responsible for the accuracy and currency of the information provided when booking.
A confirmed booking can be managed through a secure customer link if this feature is available for the booking. The customer link does not provide access to the operator's administration.
Price and payment
For a specific booking, the price shown in the booking system or individually agreed with the client applies. The current price list is available on the website.
Payment is made using one of the methods currently offered by the operator. If online payment is not explicitly offered during booking, these Terms do not require payment through an external payment gateway.
Changes, cancellation and no-show
The client may request a change or cancellation of a confirmed appointment via the customer link, by email or by phone.
A free change or cancellation is possible no later than 24 hours before the booking starts. If cancelled later, or if the client does not attend without timely cancellation, the operator may charge a cancellation fee of €20.
In justified cases, the operator may waive or reduce the cancellation fee individually. This does not create a right to the same treatment for future bookings.
If the client arrives late, the appointment is generally not extended at the expense of the next booking. If the service is shortened because of the client's late arrival, the price does not necessarily have to be reduced proportionally.
If the operator has to cancel an appointment, the client is informed as soon as possible and, where possible, offered an alternative. Cancellation rules apply without prejudice to consumer rights that cannot be contractually limited.
Pre-visit health questionnaire and safety
Before the massage, the client may be asked to complete the current pre-visit health questionnaire. The questionnaire is managed by a separate portal formular.jozefmasazeba.sk; the timing of its delivery is governed by that portal's settings.
The Terms do not contain a fixed list of contraindications. Current questions, warnings and contraindications are stated directly in the current version of the health questionnaire to avoid inconsistencies between documents.
The client must provide relevant information truthfully and inform the massage therapist of any significant change in health after completing the questionnaire. If the service cannot be performed safely based on the available information, it may be adapted, postponed or declined.
If the client is unsure whether massage is appropriate, consultation with a doctor or other relevant healthcare professional is recommended.
Service process and visit rules
The client arrives on time and follows reasonable instructions necessary for a safe and comfortable service.
The operator may refuse or terminate the service particularly in cases of aggressive or inappropriate behaviour, intoxication, serious hygiene issues, an evidently unsuitable health condition or another situation in which the massage cannot be provided safely or appropriately.
If the client conceals a circumstance relevant to the safe course of the massage, they bear responsibility for the consequences to the extent permitted by law.
Gift vouchers
If gift vouchers are offered, their value, validity and specific conditions are stated at purchase or on the voucher itself. If the selected service costs more than the voucher value, the client pays the difference.
For bookings paid with a voucher, cancellation and no-show are governed by these Terms and any specific conditions stated on the voucher.
Electronic communication
Communication relating to bookings takes place mainly by email. It may include acknowledgement of a request, confirmation or rejection, changes or cancellation, operational reminders and a subsequent request for feedback.
The pre-visit health questionnaire and its reminders are sent by the forms portal. Service communication related to a specific booking does not automatically subscribe the client to unrelated marketing.
Reviews and feedback
After the service, the client may receive a link to a Google review or an internal feedback form. Internal feedback may be used to improve services and for internal statistics.
Identifiable review text or the client's name will not be automatically published on the website or in marketing materials without an appropriate legal basis.
Complaints and alternative dispute resolution
A client may submit a complaint or request for remedy in person, by email or by phone. The operator will assess and handle it in accordance with applicable law.
If a consumer is dissatisfied with how a request for remedy was handled, they may, under Act No. 391/2015 Coll., contact the competent alternative consumer dispute resolution entity. The Slovak Trade Inspection is the residual ADR entity for disputes for which no other competent entity is designated.
The former European ODR platform ceased operating on 20 July 2025, so these Terms do not refer to it.
Distance contracts and consumer rights
Contracts concluded through the online booking system are subject to the applicable consumer protection rules, in particular Act No. 108/2024 Coll., as amended.
These Terms do not exclude or limit a consumer's right to withdraw from a contract where such a right exists by law. If the law provides an exception or special regime for a particular service or appointment, the statutory rule applies directly.
Privacy Policy
Details of personal-data processing, including booking data, internal client records, reviews, technical data and health data from the pre-visit questionnaire, are provided on the separate page Privacy Policy.
Explicit consent to the processing of health data is given separately in the health questionnaire and is not part of the general agreement to the Terms.
Final provisions
Legal relationships not governed by these Terms are subject to the law of the Slovak Republic.
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. The operator may amend the Terms, particularly in connection with changes to services, technical solutions or law. The new wording applies to bookings made after it takes effect, unless the law provides otherwise.
